Osteopathy
Osteopathy is an evidence based therapy that clinically diagnoses and treats the whole body.
It is an established, recognized system of diagnosis and treatment, which lays its main emphasis on the structural and functional integrity of the body. It is distinctive by the fact that it recognizes that much of the pain and disability that we suffer stems from abnormalities in the function of the body structure as well as damage caused by disease.
Instead of drugs, osteopaths use their hands both to discover the underlying cause of pain and to carry out treatment using a variety of manipulative techniques. The goal is achieving full mobility of the joint(s) and soft tissues and structural re-alignment of the body segments. Traditionally osteopaths have been utilized for their expertise in spinal manipulation but are now sought out for all soft tissue muscular and ligament us strains as well as the spinal – back and neck problems. Patients vary from the athletic sports injury to the pregnant mother with back pain of the office worker with a repetitive strain type injury.
